I have not had a Carbis bay hotel wedding in a few years now, and then all of a sudden I have two in two days this September, what a venue! absolutely love coming here.
The forecast was rain and storms however and driving up from Mullion through the pouring rain, I was not hopeful and thinking up inside plans for the day. Luckily (as they normally are) the weather forecast was completely wrong with only the odd shower throughout the day.
Emma had bridal preparation at the hotel with an amazing view of the sea as soon you wake up, just a simply stunning setting! there were a few tears in the morning from the brides and bridesmaids but still super excited for the day ahead.
Mike and Emma’s Carbis bay hotel wedding was in the Godrevy suite of the hotel, a beautifully lit room with glass windows overlooking the stunning view of the bay outside. the man, the legend – Roger miners played Emma down the aisle on the piano, always a pleasure seeing him at weddings, such an amazing talent and all round nice guy. Mike and Emma’s ten-month son Willaim led came down the aisle first with his own special little message for dad.
After a brief passing shower, we all nipped outside for some group shots and a quick confetti tunnel of love. There is an excellent spot for group shots at the Carbis bay hotel overlooking the beach and the view all the way round to Godrevy lighthouse.
After the delicious meal, We took full advantage of the nearly empty beach for some special pictures of just the happy couple. and then a few more romantic photos inside the hotel.
The evening reception entertainment was the great band stereo jacks who really got the party going. Just after 9, there were fireworks outside so everyone rushed out for the show.
Maxine the wedding coordinator is full of beans nonstop and brings the energy you want on your wedding day for sure, her and the staff did a fantastic job, I was back again for another Carbis bay hotel wedding the next day too, you can see that blog too here.

Reading this feels like stepping into a gentle memory by the sea. The emotions, the light, and the celebration blend so naturally that you can almost feel the warmth and joy lingering long after the day ends.
Carbis Bay on a September day with that lighthouse view in the background makes for wedding photos that genuinely look unreal. Having a ten month old lead the way down the aisle must have made that whole ceremony completely unforgettable for everyone in that room.
Carbis Bay pulling through despite storm forecasts Cornwall weather keeping photographers guessing right until the last moment. Two weddings at the same venue back-to-back in September sounds exhausting and wonderful, that setting earns every return visit without question.
